SPRAYGROUND
Sprayground (subsidiary of The Moret Group) is an urban clothing company specializing in backpacks, accessories, and outerwear.
For this piece, I was tasked with illustrating a backpack design using the references provided. The original concept was to depict Marvel’s Black Panther in the style of Kehinde Wiley, a contemporary portrait painter. We then decided to make another variant with an MCU-inspired NYC background. Photoshop.
The concept here was a mandala lion design for a jacket. A mandala is a geometric figure representing the universe in Hindu and Buddhist symbolism. I was provided some sample images and a template for a jacket. Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
My very first assignment for Sprayground was to improve on a design for a Spider-Man backpack. The concept was to have part of the mask torn away, exposing Peter Parker’s eyes. Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
